Help with Furnace Replacement
If your furnace is unsafe, no longer working, or in need of replacement, you may qualify for a high-efficiency furnace replacement at no cost through the Columbia Gas of Kentucky Low-Income Furnace Replacement Program.
The program is administered through Community Action agencies and is available to eligible households while funding remains available.
What the Program Provides
- High-efficiency furnace replacement at no cost
- Replacement of an aging, unsafe, or non-working furnace
- More reliable heat during the winter months
- Reduced risk of furnace breakdowns during cold weather
Who May Qualify
You may qualify if you are a Columbia Gas customer and:
- Meet income eligibility guidelines
- Have an older, unsafe, or non-working furnace
- Own your home or have your landlord's permission
Priority is typically given to:
- Seniors
- Medically vulnerable households
- Families with children
- Households experiencing heating emergencies

Contact Community Action to determine whether your household may qualify for a no-cost furnace replacement.
Community Action reviews household eligibility and evaluates the condition of the home's heating system. If approved and funding is available, a new furnace is installed at no cost.
