We'll assign a team member to follow up with you to understand your needs. Before we schedule construction, you'll need to ensure all private underground facilities are marked (you can do this by doing a local search for a private line locating company).
Remove or retire an existing natural gas line
If you need to have an existing gas line removed or retired, call us at 1-800-344-4077.
Move or relocate an existing natural gas line
If you need to move or remove a gas line, call us at 1-800-432-9345.It's not safe to demolish a building until you're sure both the electric and gas service is completely disconnected. If you don't, you could be liable for damages. If you're not sure if service has been disconnected or not, it's always best to call us to check for you. Here's how to ensure we're out of your way for your next construction or demolition project:
- Call us at least 30 days in advance to make an abandonment request.
- Call 811 to have all public underground utilities located before demolition or any excavation.
