Payment Options

NCO EasyPay  —  Pay by credit card, debit card, or electronic check online or by phone

For a quick way to pay a Columbia Gas of Kentucky bill online or by phone, NCO EasyPay is fast, convenient, and completely secure. Call 1-800-284-8572 to pay by phone or visit the NCO Web site to pay via the Internet. There's no application or enrollment process to delay your payment. Choose from these convenient payment methods:

  • Credit card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, Diner's Club
  • Debit card (with a Star/Pulse logo)
  • Electronic check

Whichever payment method you choose, be sure to call Columbia DirectLink at 1-800-432-9345 to report the payment confirmation number. If you're facing termination of service, payment must be reported by 10:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled termination date to avoid shut-off.

Control how much you pay

Pay each month's bill in full, or specify the amount you want to pay that month, and rest assured that your gas bill will be paid on time. Be sure to have your 15-digit Columbia Gas account number handy when you make the payment.

NCO EasyPay will add a convenience fee for each transaction made through their payment service. You'll be given an opportunity to complete or stop the transaction after the total amount of your payment, including the convenience fee, has been calculated. Your Columbia Gas account will be credited only with the amount you specify to be paid on your gas bill, not including NCO's convenience fee.

Convenience when you need it

NCO EasyPay offers automated payment processing for transactions made through their automated phone system at 1-800-284-8572 or from their Web site 23 hours a day (1:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight), seven days a week. To speak with a NCO customer service representative, call between 7:00 a.m. and midnight, Monday through Friday, or between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

If you have questions regarding a payment, call the NCO Help Desk at 1-800-794-1630 and refer to the confirmation number.

Zipcheck
The most convenient payment service available. This free service lets you pay your bill without writing a check. A Zipcheck application form provided by Columbia will let you authorize your financial institution to pay your gas bill from your checking account. You will still receive a monthly statement showing the amount you owe and how much gas you used. Your bank will pay the bill within 10 days, unless you have called us with a question.

Budget Payment Plan
The Budget Payment Plan is one of the best ways to manage winter heating bills by spreading those costs over several months.  The “budget year” begins in August and runs through July, but you can enroll in the program anytime by calling 800-432-9345.  If you choose to enroll after the beginning of the budget year, we’ll simply spread your projected costs over fewer months. 

We use the history of gas usage at your address, normal weather and the present and projected cost of gas to set your budget amount.  Then we review your account as the year progresses and adjust your budget amount, if necessary, to help you avoid accumulating a large balance at the end of the year.
